Where to find beer this weekend

Looks like Spring has finally sprung and the markets and festivals are starting to pile up. If you are not at Rocking the Daisies or were caught out by the “no under 18 tickets” and can’t go without the family, here are a few events that we have on this weekend for you and your family to enjoy:

Wind Town Beer Festival in Langebaan 5 and 6 October 2013Wind Town Langebaan, Beer Fest, Saturday 5 October
Our beers will be served alongside the lagoon in the center of Langebaan. Included in our selection at this event are: Stellenbrau Craven Craft Lager & Alumni Ale, Cape Brewing Company’s selection of bottled beer, Fiery Dragon alcoholic ginger beer, Windermere dry apple cider, new Angolan beer, Cuca and Kopparberg pear cider and strawberry lime cider.

Blue Rock is hosting its Oktober Fest this weekend with loads of entertainment for the whole family like a wakeboarding competition, arm wrestling, beer pong, a raffle, craft stalls and skateboarding. We will be on hand with some fine local and imported beers like Cape Brewing Company, Mitchell’s Forester’s Lager, Angolan Cuca beer, Penpont from the UK, Erdinger, Paulaner, Fiery Dragon alcoholic ginger beer, Warsteiner, Maisels and Kopparberg.

Durbanville Wine Valley's Season of Sauvignon Festival includes Meerendal's Farmer's Market this weekend, Saturday 5 October Meerendal Farmer’s Market, Saturday 5 October

On the 2nd Saturday of every month, Meerendal hosts it’s Farmer’s market. This is the first Saturday, but it’s the Season of Sauvignon Festival and Meerendal is only wine estate out of 12 that is not charging an entrance fee!

We will be stocking a beautiful range of Belgian beers, Penpont from Cornwall, Cape Brewing Company and Mitchell’s on tap. Also beer related and just as yummy is the Jam Sandwiched stand where fellow beer babe, Jamie will have a selection of decadent cakes and baked goods all baked with beer! Definitely worth a try!

Root 44 market in stellenbosh boasts craft beer, craft stalls, live music and kiddies entertainmentRoot 44 Audacia Market, Saturday 5 October and Sunday 6 October
Every weekend, Audacia farm on Route 44 in Stellenbosch hosts a wonderful market with live music, loads of craft stalls and entertainment for the kiddies. Our permanent bar there boasts a wide range of beers such as Erdinger, Paulaner, Krombacher, Maisels, Warsteiner, Penpont, Windermere, Fiery Dragon, Cuca, Singha, Corona and Kopparberg.

Blaauwklippen Family Market in Stellenbosh Blaauwklippen Family Market, Sunday 6 October

Every  Sunday, we set up stand at the gorgeous Blaauwklippen Wine Farm for their Family Market. This weekend, they are celebrating their 2nd birthday, so there will be competitions, specials and great entertainment for the whole family!

We will be on hand with ice cold brews such as Stellenbrau Craven Craft Lager & Alumni Ale, Mitchell’s Forester’s & Millk & Honey, Birkenhead’s Honey Blonde & Lager and Everson’s pear cider and apple cider on tap. In bottles, we stock Paulaner, Erdinger, Warsteiner, Maisels,
Cuca, Penpont, Corona, Singha, Windermere, Fiery Dragon, Darling Slow Brew  & Darling Bone Crusher. In light of these celebrations, if you buy 3 Windermere or Cuca beers, you get one free!
